BitcoinIQ's founder and CEO is a software engineer with a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge (England) and 30+ years across software and investing, who has closely followed Bitcoin since 2017. One dashboard, 20 cycle indicators, the main ones each with a research page and daily plain-English AI analysis, one clear monthly signal — the professional platform we wish we'd had.
It stacks hardest in Cycle Winter, when valuation sits near its cycle lows. Two things follow: most of the gain came from a lower average price paid, and the rest from more money going in overall — about 12% more than a fixed monthly amount. Both come from the same number — the Cycle Factor. Backtested across the 47 months from July 2022 to May 2026 — a bear-market low, a 7× advance, and a drawdown of more than 40% from the high — on years the method had never seen, with no money actually deployed. Why We Built BitcoinIQ
In late 2021, the Fed signaled rate hikes and tightening — draining the Macro support (Global Liquidity, Fed policy) that underpins a Bitcoin cycle. Bitcoin peaked within weeks. But at the time, YouTube was confident the real top was still months away, in March 2022, with institutions about to pour in. Those conflicting signals bred doubt, and I didn't sell. Then Bitcoin crashed.
What I wanted after that was one screen with everything that mattered on it — sentiment, liquidity, Fed policy, on-chain valuation — instead of ten tabs and a YouTube video. So I started building it.
But the longer I built, the clearer the real lesson got, and it wasn't the one I started with. Calling the top isn't a strategy. Neither is calling the bottom. I'd been trying to win a game nobody wins reliably, and the answer wasn't to get better at it — it was to stop playing.
So BitcoinIQ became the opposite. Keep stacking through the whole cycle, but size it: more when Bitcoin is near the cycle lows, less near the cycle highs. You don't have to be right about the top. Or the bottom. That's a Cycle-Smart decision, and it's why I built BitcoinIQ.
